Family Service Agency‘s (FSA) Senior Full Service Wellness Program (SFSW) helps seniors with chronic mental illnesses deal with their problems and function as independently as possible. FSA‘s Senior Full Service Wellness Program is a Full Service Partnership funded by the Mental Health Service Act (MHSA.) MHSA is funded by a 1% income tax on California‘s millionaires. The program focuses on seniors‘ well being by providing a level of case management they have not been able to find in the past.

The program serves some of San Francisco‘s most seriously mentally ill seniors. Many of our clients are physically frail, isolated, homeless, and impacted by dementia. Most have also been high-end users of police, hospitals, and other public services.

Each of our clients receives an extensive initial assessment, psychiatric and substance abuse treatment, financial assistance, and 24/7 after-hours intervention services. Our team includes staff who are bilingual in Spanish and Japanese.

SFSW is also supported by a collaborative partnership with Curry Senior Center, Community Awareness and Treatment Services, Goodwill Industries, the Over 60 Project at UCSF, and Tom Waddell Health Center.
